Skip Bucket Concrete Batching Plant

2026-09-14 18:07:24

Haomei Machinery’s skip bucket concrete batching plant is designed to precisely serve the small-to-medium capacity range of 25–50 m3/h. Utilizing a vertical skip-hoist feeding design, it ensures standard production performance while maximizing space efficiency and cost-effectiveness, making it a classic choice for small-to-medium infrastructure projects and township-level commercial concrete stations.

Haomei HZS series skip bucket concrete batching plants comprises three core models—HZS25, HZS35, and HZS50 to suit construction projects of varying scales.

The HZS25 skip bucket concrete batching plant features the JS500 twin-shaft forced mixer (nominal discharge capacity: 500 L/batch; standard mixing cycle: 72 seconds; theoretical capacity: 25 m³/h).

The HZS35 skip bucket concrete batching plant is equipped with the JS750 mixer (750 L/batch; 65-second cycle; 35 m³/h capacity).

While the HZS50 skip bucket concrete batching plant utilizes the JS1000 mixer (1000 L/batch; 60-second cycle; 50 m³/h capacity).

Due to the intermittent nature of the skip-bucket feeding process, the skip hoist concrete batching plant maintains a stable continuous operational efficiency of 70%–80%, making it ideal for construction scenarios requiring non-continuous production. All models come standard with independent electronic weighing systems. Aggregate dynamic weighing accuracy is within ±2%, while the metering accuracy for cement, water, and admixtures is within ±1%. These systems fully comply with international standards EN 206 and ISO 19720, enabling the stable production of standard and pumpable concrete across the C10–C50 grade range, with finished product quality matching that of belt-conveyor models of equivalent capacity.

The core mechanism of the skip-hoist feeding system utilizes a winch-driven vertical lift; a steel cable pulls the skip bucket up and down along steel rails. Aggregates are metered by a ground-level batcher, discharged into the skip, and lifted vertically to the aggregate hopper atop the main mixing tower before entering the mixer. This structure eliminates the inclined conveyor gallery required by traditional belt-fed models; the layout extends vertically, significantly reducing the horizontal footprint. The entire skip bucket concrete batching plant features a highly modular design, with over 80% of core components pre-assembled at the factory. All disassembled parts fit into standard 40HQ containers, eliminating the need for specialized bulk cargo logistics. On-site assembly requires only flange connections and wiring—avoiding extensive welding—allowing for installation, commissioning, and production startup within just 5–7 days to meet tight project schedules.

Compared to belt conveyor concrete batching plants, skip bucket concrete batching plants offer distinct advantages in deployment and O&M (operation and maintenance). Regarding space, the horizontal footprint is reduced by 30%–40%; for instance, the HZS35 concrete batching plant occupies only about 9m × 5.5m, making it suitable for constrained sites such as urban infill projects, mountainous areas, or mining zones. Civil works are simplified, requiring only a leveled, hardened surface and localized foundations; this reduces civil engineering volume by approximately 35% and lowers initial fixed investment. In terms of O&M, the number of moving parts is reduced by over 40% compared to belt conveyor concrete batching plant models. Common issues like belt misalignment and idler roller wear are eliminated, resulting in a roughly 50% lower annual failure rate in dusty, harsh environments. Routine maintenance involves only inspecting the steel cable, pulley blocks, and mixer wear parts, with consumable costs reduced by over 20%—making it an ideal choice for remote overseas markets with limited specialized maintenance capabilities. Regarding procurement, the skip bucket concrete batching plant equipment cost is 15%–20% lower than belt conveyor type of the same capacity, easing capital investment pressure.

Skip bucket concrete batching plant is suitable for a wide range of applications, including small-scale urban municipal projects, commercial concrete supply points for towns and villages, rural road network upgrades and expansions, small precast component plants, and infrastructure development in mountainous or mining areas. For export markets, the entire series supports customization for multiple voltage standards (such as 380V/415V) and comes with standard CE certification, enabling rapid adaptation to the power grid and regulatory requirements of different countries.

Years of equipment export experience indicate that the 25–50 m3/h capacity range represents the core of global demand for small-to-medium infrastructure projects. Many such projects face constraints regarding site space, budgets, and operational capabilities, making the deployment of large-scale equipment impractical. Skip bucket concrete batching plants—characterized by reliable performance, low entry barriers, and high dependability—precisely meet these needs, offering exceptional overall cost-effectiveness.
