Skip Hoist Concrete Batching Plant

2025-08-21 14:25:33

A skip hoist concrete batching plant, also known as a hopper type concrete batching plant, is a common type of concrete mixing equipment. It features easy installation and efficient production. A skip type concrete batching plant lifts aggregates onto the main mixer via a skip-type elevator. Aggregates are then mixed with cement, water, admixtures, and other materials in a specific ratio to produce concrete. It typically consists of a batching system, a storage system, an elevator system, a mixing system and a control system.

Operating Principle of Skip Hoist Concrete Batching Plant:

Aggregates are precisely metered from a storage silo according to the specified ratio using the batching system. The skip-type elevator then lifts the measured aggregates into a hopper above the main mixer. Simultaneously, powders such as cement and fly ash are conveyed to the powder metering hopper via a screw conveyor for metering, while water and admixtures are metered using appropriate metering devices. Once all materials are metered, the hopper opens, allowing the aggregates to fall into the main mixer. At the same time, the powders, water, and admixtures are added to the main mixer in the specified order. The rotating mixing blades thoroughly mix the various materials, forming a uniform concrete. Finally, the mixed concrete is discharged from the main mixer's discharge port and into concrete transport vehicles or other storage equipment.

Key Features of Skip Hoist Concrete Batching Plant:

- Easy Installation:

Many skip type concrete batching plants utilize a modular design, making installation and relocation relatively quick. For example, the main unit of HZS35 concrete batching plant requires only four people in three days to install, and the entire plant meets container shipping requirements, making it easy to transport and install.

- Small Footprint:

This type of batching plant has a relatively compact structure. For example, HZS35 concrete batching plant requires only 6m x 27m, making it suitable for use in sites with limited space.

- High Production Efficiency:

The mixing system typically utilizes high-efficiency mixing equipment such as a twin shaft concrete mixer. For example, the HZS series skip hopper concrete batching plant utilizes a twin shaft mixer, which increases mixing efficiency by 15% and significantly reduces production cycle time.

- Accurate Metering:

Equipped with advanced metering systems, these concrete batching plants can precisely measure various materials, ensuring consistent concrete quality. For example, the concrete batching plant features coarse and fine scales, achieving a metering accuracy 50% higher than national standards.

- Automation:

Modern skip hoist concrete batching plants are typically equipped with advanced control systems, enabling automated production, improving efficiency, and reducing labor costs.

- Adaptability:

These concrete batching plants can be adjusted and configured to meet diverse project requirements, making them suitable for construction projects of all sizes.

Skip hoist concrete batching plants are suitable for medium-sized construction projects, such as road and bridge projects, small and medium-sized building projects, and concrete product precast plants. They can also be used by small commercial concrete production companies.
