Conveying Parts of Concrete Mixing Plant

2019-01-21 16:41:55

A concrete mixing plant is a combined device group used for concentrated mixing of concrete. It is commonly used in large and medium-sized water conservancy, electric power, bridges and other projects with large concrete construction, long construction period and concentrated construction sites. We often mention that a concrete plant consists of several large systems like storage system, conveying system, mixing system, weighing system and so on. Then what are the conveying parts of a plant?

Generally speaking, a concrete plant has four parts as its conveying system.

First, the belt conveyor. It’s used for conveying of aggregates of large and small sizes, usually equipped in a concrete mixing plant of high automatic level and spacious concrete production sites.

Second, a bucket elevator. This is applied to lift various raw materials, but mostly for lifting of liquid admixture of powder and cement. Generally a bucket hopper is used in concrete production of a small style concrete plant like an hzs25 concrete batching plant, but with large plants, it’s used in material conveying for collecting hoppers as well.

Third, a screw conveyor. The number of screw conveyors depends upon that of cement and powder silos, each of which must be equipped with one screw conveyor connected to the mixing unit. Screw conveyors function to convey cement, coal ash and other powder materials along enclosed pipes. They are influenced little by the outside factors and are more able to guarantee quality of the raw materials.

Fourth, the pneumatic conveying pump. Such a pump applies compressed air to press cement and other powder materials from cement delivery trucks into silos connected by screw conveyors to the mixing unit.
