Solution to common failures of cement pump trucks

2019-05-16 14:38:02

New cement pump truck drivers might be confronted with failures that make them feel at a loss. Here we share solutions to common failures as below.

Failure example A

At the individual position, the boom of a cement pump truck cannot be opened or moved.

Reasons

1. The hydraulic system pressure is not enough.

2. There are other abnormally redundant loads on the boom.

3. The solenoid valve is blocked or the solenoid valve is burnt out.

This is a cement pump truck.

Solutions

1. If the maximum pressure indication value of the valve does not reach the value when the boom is working, check if the maximum pressure valve is not adjusted.

2. If this still does not eliminate the fault, it indicates that the hydraulic pump is damaged and the hydraulic pump should be replaced; the excess load is no longer applied to the boom.

3. If the boom still does not work properly after checking according to the above items, it is necessary to check whether the command valve of the single control boom is working normally.

Failure example B: The vibration of the cement pump truck is too large.

Reasons

1. The connection gap is abnormal.

2. There is a problem between the pin and the mount at each joint.

3. There is a problem between the fixed portion of the thrust bearing and the rotating portion.

4. The bolt of the thrust bearing is loosened.

Solutions

Replace the damaged parts and ensure the lubrication frequency of the moving pair. Replace the thrust bearing, tighten as required, tighten or replace the bolt.

Failure example C: After the rotation, the concrete pump truck stops too slowly.

Reasons

1. The valve block is blocked due to dirt.

2. The pump is not fixed horizontally.

3. The brake disc is worn.

4. The brake spring is deformed.

Solution: Clean or replace the valve block, lift the legs, keep the cement pump truck level, replace the brake disc, and replace the brake spring.

Failure example C. The boom cannot be locked under load.

Reasons and solutions

1. The locking valve block is not adjusted, the valve block is dirty or damaged.

2. Leakage in the hydraulic cylinder.

3. Adjust or clean, replace the valve block, replace the seal, and check the tubing for damage.

Failure example D. The pin cannot be lubricated.

Reasons

1. The grease nozzle is blocked or damaged.

2. The lubrication pipe is blocked due to dirt.

Solution

Replace the grease fitting, remove the pin, check the pipe blockage and wear and clearance. Note: This condition may cause pin biting, the pin shaft rotating with the boom, the pin plate broken, and so on.
